Sussex Gardens, London
The design of this scheme is intended to create a visually attractive and accessible series of gardens for residents as well as improving the experience for the pedestrian and road user. It is the intention to further unify the streetscape by balancing the treatment on the north and south sides of Sussex Gardens. The work included new retaining walls modified as required to respect existing tree root plates including those of mature London Plane trees , the integration of service entries from the pavement to properties, the integration of waste collection stations, and new railings in an historic pattern to match adjoining railings and retain the historic character of the area.
