Clapton Girls’ Academy - Hackney, London

Jestico + Whiles commissioned PLACE for landscape proposals to refurbish and enhance an existing Victorian courtyard and to create a contemporary courtyard for the new sixth form building.

Additionally key issues addressed through the landscape design included site security and encouraging students to use the external spaces more frequently for recreation. The courtyards were designed to enable the college facilities to be used by the local community.
